Top 7- My most anticipated TV of 2015

Last song, I promise. Seeing as it's New Years Eve, let's end it on a classic. You can't beat it, it's Auld Lang Syne. Just be glad I don't subject you to Gangnam Style like I was in New York. First song I heard in the New Year. Thanks Obama.

Well, to TV now. This has been a hard list because it's basically made up of new seasons of old shows and some new shows that could be good. This time last year, there's no way I could have predicted how great Fargo was. So this list may be totally different to the list if best TV at the end of the year. But it's worth talking about anyway.

7. Doctor Who Series 9
I wish this could be higher up the list but I'm a little bit worried after the junk that was the Christmas episode. I just came away from it feeling disappointed and quite worried for the future of this show. Still, I'm hoping that this was just a blip and that the next series will be just as great, maybe better, than the last. I'll check it out, but I'm not sure if I'll like it yet. Don't mess this up Moffat!

6. Better Call Saul
Breaking Bad was one of the greatest shows ever made and since it's finale, every single drama has been trying to scratch the itch it left. But now, we are given a chance to come back into the magical and mystical world of New Mexico with Better Call Saul. From what we've been told and what we've briefly glimpsed in trailers, this is going to be more comical than Breaking Bad and will (surprise surprise) focus around Walt's dodgy lawyer, Saul Goodman. Of all the characters to get a spin-off, Saul is a good choice, but I'm worried this could tarnish the excellent reputation of Breaking Bad. Still, the same team is in place, the actors are back and it'll be up on Netflix the day after it airs in America. Awesome.

5. Fargo Season 2
Fargo was this year's biggest and best surprise. It was gripping, wonderfully executed and was stylish in the most beautiful way. And while it's a self contained story, they apparently felt a second season was neccesary. It's a shame because I think I might have appreciated it more for being just one series but more of a good thing isn't bad in the world of TV. It'll take place in a different time period, different setting and have new actors like Kirsten Dunst and Creepy Todd from Breaking Bad. If the quality and style of the first season carries across to this one even slightly, this will be an excellent season.

4. Orphan Black Season 3
Orphan Black is similar to Fargo in that I wish it could have been just one season but it still had story to tell and it's been telling it well. I can't talk about this in detail without ruining it for anyone who has seen none of it but I'll try. In season 3, Sarah and... friends will have to confront the new... people who will affect their lives in unpredictable ways. If you haven't got on the bandwagon yet, you have to, even if it's only to see the sheer scope and range of Tatiana Maslany's acting skills which (for the record) are incredible.

3. Charlie Brooker's Weekly Wipe Series 3
Charlie Brooker is a god. There's no easy way to say it but he is. He's a comic genius, satire genius and genius of grumpiness. He is so incredible that it's impossible to deny him being a god. That and because god works in mysterious ways like only releasing six episodes of the hilarious weekly wipe every year. Sure, we also get the hour long Yearly wipe, but that's not enough! Still, what we do get is perfect without a shadow of a doubt. It may be a rare occurrence but it's always worth the wait. And that wait is nearly over.

2. House of Cards Season 3
House of Cards was the single best TV show I watched last year. It was gripping, it had intrigue and it had Kevin Spacey. And while Season 4 is likely to be the most exciting due to the elections in America, this season will be great also. As Frank attempts to cope with some of the dramatic changes that occurred throughout season 2, he will be flung into conflicts of unimaginable weight while just trying to look out for his own skin. He will fight global issues and publicity with equal measure and it will be a roller-coaster of sheer televisual beauty. Plus, it all get's released in one, easily bingable chunk. Roll on February.

1. Community Season 6
I've spoken at length about my pure, unadulterated love for Community. It's the best thing ever made by anyone ever and it's cancellation was the single evilest thing ever done (excluding Dungeon Keeper on mobile). But then it's resurrection proved two things. 1. There is good in the world 2. Community is God's child and therefore heavenly. We still don't have a release date or proper trailer for the new season but we've had lot's of cast announcements and a few photos from set. What we've also had are promises from Dan Harmon of a return to the beauty that was the first few seasons. This is going to be on literally no one else's most anticipated lists but it's on the top of mine because I love Community. It's the best show, that only get's publicity for controversy surrounding it, not how incredible it is. And that's a damn shame.

Well, those are the shows that you should be watching next year. Join me on Friday for Video Games. Have a very Happy New Year and drink/game responisibly.
