Top 7- Most anticipated films of 2016

Image
This year is now basically over, what with Christmas and Star Wars both gone so it's time to get ready for the most exciting movies of next year. As you can see, it's a year that is going to be dominated more than ever by Superhero films but there are some good, non-superhero movies as well. The real question is, will anything be able to top last year's spectacular batch, headlined by Whiplash? Only time will tell. 7. Batman VS Superman With every trailer released, everyone gets both more excited and more worried about this movie. The reason it isn't any higher is because, while I definitely want to go see this and how it turns out, it could still be awful but that's what makes it so exciting. This is the kind of movie that we can go into and it could be one of this year's best or one of the most disappointing. Sure, I'm pretty excited to see Ben Affleck as Batman and it's essentially a film adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns, one of the greate

Top 7- Best TV shows of 2015 (and a few video games as well)

Time for some TV and also some Video Games. I can actually report that Star Wars was fantastic but you probably know that by now. I kind of wish that I could have put it on the list but I'll make that sacrifice for Fargo.. That's not what we're here for though so let's get going with Video Games first. I didn't play many this year so they're part of this post as well and I'm not ordering them because I love all these games in equal but very different ways. Fallout 4 Fallout 4 is going to prove the biggest barrier to my education. I could spend days on end losing myself in the Commonwealth. I'll admit that as an RPG, it's somewhat sparse but it's enough for me and it's become a really solid shooter compared to the previous games. It's various stories keep me coming back and I think it'll be a damn long time before I finish with this game, so much so that it'll probably also be one of my games of 2016. It's the most w

This list has torn me apart emotionally, and I don't just mean because it was difficult to pick a favourite. I had to decide to push this list forward a week and miss out on potentially putting Star Wars on the list so that for my TV list, I could put Fargo on there, having actually seen all of it by the time it airs. I'm going to go through some honourable mentions first, done in no particular order and then I'll get to the ranked list. Finally, I'm going by UK release dates here, so there may be a few slightly older Oscar films on the list. Macbeth An interesting and fantastically acted adaptation of a classic story that has some of the most gorgeous cinematography of the year. Straight Outta Compton A rap biopic that I loved, despite being neither a fan of rap, nor biopics. A surprise delight. Ant-Man Marvel's winning streak continues with their small on scale, big on heart heist movie. Steve Jobs A film with no action that som

Review- Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas

Image
This year, I quite wanted to review Lethal Weapon so that I could finally get round to it but I realised that last year, I reviewed two Christmas films I love so I figured I must repent for my sinful enjoyment and watch this pile of shit. Fun fact for you fact fans out there, this movie is currently the 4th worst rated movie on IMDb which is incredibly impressive. It should be lower. Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas is the story of Kirk Cameron attending his sister's Christmas party. It's a lovely time for all, apart from one; his brother in law. It seems like someone's being a scrooge and he's trying to find the meaning in Christmas now. What can all these trees, snow globes and Santa mean? Where's the Christ in Christmas? Well, it's at the start isn't it but Kirk Cameron clearly doesn't know that because he's an idiot, as evidenced by his decision to make this film. So yeah, it's basically that, for the whole film. Oh wait, did I fo

Top 7- Best Christmas episodes of TV

Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Christmas time. It is now December (not when I'm writing this but when you read it, it should be) which means that the Christmas embargo has been lifted and we can celebrate as much as we want. The puff pastry mince pies may have been around for weeks now in my house but I now feel prepared to fully  embrace Christmas in it's entirety. So following on from last year, here are the top 7 Christmas themed episodes of shows. Right, let's festive! 7. Community- Comparative Religion For the first (and certainly not last) Christmas episode from Community, we have the study group celebrating Christmas/Festive/December 10th the only way they know how; by getting in a fight with the school bully. Not only does this episode give us an amusing set of jokes about Jeff getting in a fight for the first time, we also get the start of a long running joke in the group about everyone's religion, including Pierce and his Neo-Budhism. It's a sill
