What to expect from this blog (for the close future)

This is a blog I'm starting. Reading this you'll have some questions and I'll answer them now, before I get to the exciting stuff. But first things first. My name is Henry, I'm 14 (damn near 15) and I'm making this blog because of a few reasons.
1. I enjoy writing. That may sound strange but writing stuff that entertains people makes me happy
2. People have told me I write in an entertaining and amusing manner. At the very least, the internet needs to know it's missing me
3. I'd like to be a journalist one day. Not like a gossipy one or one who writes articles about how breathing in oxygen gives us cancer so we should all switch to breathing carbon dioxide, but someone who reviews and talks about films, tv and games.
Which is why this blog exists. On this blog, I'm going to talk and/or review tv, films and games. I plan to do it at least once a week but with my GCSE's this year (for you non-brits,  it's a series of exams done at the end of our secondary school) and I'm going away for a week or two soon. Still, I am going to try writing this blog as often as I can without failing school.

Expect another post in the next week for sure (maybe Tuesday?) but I make no promises on the next few weeks.

Review- Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip

*sigh* Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Road Chip is the fourth (?!?!?) film in the Alvin and The Chipmunks franchise that has so far consisted of the first one, the Squeakuel and Chipwrecked. It features singing Chipmunks who are entirely animated and humans who can't act despite being talented and failing to interact with the animated 'munks. This particular film has them trying to sabotage Dave's wedding because they don't like the new Mum's son. It's an excuse for hijinks and a poor one at that. At least it's entertaining hijinks though, right? Wrong. I guess I should talk about the acting. Dave, or Earl from My Name is Earl, is the Dad of the chipmunks. After four films, he should be able to stare into blank space and pretend there are balls of fur there but he just can't. He isn't funny and he just can't act. Do You Feel Like A Hero Yet? - The Last of Us and Violence in Context

Warning : this post is going to contain spoilers for both games in the Last of Us franchise, as well as discussions of some terrible acts of violence. I'm not going to use screenshots of any of these events, but if you don't want the games spoiled or don't want to read descriptions of graphic violence, I recommend you don't read on. This month marks the one year anniversary of The Last of Us Part 2 . The launch was, to put it mildly, messy. The game was beset by delays, was being hyped up to absurd degrees by rabid fans and then suffered some really brutal leaks. These leaks revealed many crucial and controversial details of the narrative of the game and made it pretty much impossible to have even a slightly nuanced conversation about what the story was doing. Out of context, these narrative beats infuriated fans, but a year on I want to look at them in context.
